The Evolving Global Energy Order
What We’ll Discuss
The global energy landscape is undergoing a seismic shift, with economic and energy influence steadily moving from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Emerging economies like China and India are increasingly shaping the global energy order, while traditional powers in the OECD struggle to balance energy security with climate goals. This trend is expected to continue, pushing the international community to reconsider the frameworks that have governed energy policy for decades.

The current geopolitical landscape highlights the growing disconnect between developed and emerging nations in their approach to energy transition—where politics drives decisions in wealthier nations, science and practicality dictate actions in countries like India and China. Is it time to establish a truly global energy organization, one that represents the interests of all nations rather than catering to a select few?
